How to See Your Saved Passwords

You may have a password manager and not even know it!

Over the past few years, most browsers have started saving people's usernames and passwords to make it easier for them to log in to all of their accounts.

If you use Google Chrome...

  • go to passwords.google.com

  • note the sites and apps listed

  • search for your patient portals (try organization name, nicknames, and url)

  • enter your google (email) password to reveal the login credentials for a site

If you use Safari ...

from your phone or iPad

  • go to settings

  • tap on your name at the very top

  • tap on iCloud

  • scroll to find Keychain

  • if keychain is 'ON', then apple and safari are saving your usernames and password to auto-fill

  • return to the first screen of settings

  • scroll to find Passwords & Accounts

  • tap Website & App Passwords

  • log in (via FaceID, TouchID, or password)

  • scroll or search to find credentials for a site

  • if looking for a patient portal, try searching by the organization name, nicknames, and url

from your laptop

  • open safari

  • click on the safari menu, then preferences

  • click on passwords (top menu)

  • log into your account to reveal credentials

  • if looking for a patient portal, try searching by the organization name, nicknames, and url
