How to Get Your Immunization Records in Wingspan Health

In the Immunizations section in your Wingspan Health account, you can gather, see, and maintain all of your immunization and vaccination records from each of the doctors you’ve been to.

In this blog post, we’ll go over the importance of keeping your vaccine records up to date, how you can initially add your vaccination records in your Wingspan Health account, how Wingspan Health updates your vaccination records, and how to manually upload any additional vaccinations.

Why should you have a vaccine record?

  • For Entry: Your immunization record may be required when you get certain jobs (ex. in 2021 many employers may require proof of vaccination for COVID-19), travel to another country, or register to a school, childcare, summer camp, or college

  • Seeing a New Doctor: When you see a new healthcare provider, they will ask you for your previous vaccinations for their records to help them ensure you receive the medical care that you need. Your previous doctor won’t automatically send it to them, you will have to contact them to get a copy of your vaccine records and then send to your new doctor (along with other parts of your medical record).   • Avoiding Unnecessary Vaccination Shots: If your immunization record is lost or not available, you may have to get certain vaccination shots again that you may not be due for.

How to Add Immunizations for the First Time in Wingspan Health

  • Sign up for a Wingspan Health account.

  • Add or request a connection to any doctor or health system to your account.

  • Receive an email from our team at Wingspan Health once a connection has been established between your Wingspan Health account and your health system.

  • Sign back into your account and click on Immunizations in the menu on the left.

  • See your immunization and vaccination records organized in a table.

How to Keep Your Immunization Record Up to Date in Wingspan Health

Wingspan Health updates your immunizations automatically with your connected providers.

Wingspan Health automatically updates your immunization records in your account when you get any new and updated ones with your doctor!

Add or request a connection to any new healthcare provider that gives you a vaccine.

However, if you went to a new doctor to receive those vaccinations, you would need to add or request a connection to them for your Wingspan Health account for those records to show up.

How to Upload Vaccination Records in Wingspan Health

If you have older paper immunization records or have gotten a vaccination outside of your doctor or health system (like getting a free flu shot at work), you can upload them to your Wingspan Health to get them all in one place.

  • Sign into your Wingspan Health account and click on Immunizations in the menu on the left.

  • Click on the Upload Document button under the Uploaded Vaccination Records section.

  • Add a description to say what the uploaded vaccination record is about.

  • Choose a file from your computer to upload and then click the Upload button.
